Home Information Pack Forms

The ODPM consultation exercise on the draft regulations in October 2005 included forms which were proposed should be required elements of the Pack. These forms included:

  • Home Information Pack Index
  • Sale Statement
  • Report on a Home not Physically Complete
  • Home Use Form
  • Home Contents Form

These forms are not included in the Regulations as they are subject to further consultation during the dry run period. The Regulations do do require an Index (Schedule 1) and a Sale Statement (Schedule 2), and in certain instances a Report on a Home not Physically Complete (Schedule 7). While the format of these documents is not prescribed, they must contain the prescribed information, and the DCLG forms can be used to fulfil these requirements. DCLG have also prepared a Home Contents Form and a Home Use Form, both of which are optional authorised documents.
